Abstract

1506041 Manifolding books MOORE PARAGON UK Ltd 31 March 1976 [2 April 1975] 13411/75 Heading B6A A plurality of "snap out" sets are bound into book form at their edges opposite their stub portions. Each set comprises record sheets 6, 7, 8, 9 either coated with transfer material or interleaved with transfer sheets 10. The record sheets have first lines 12 of weakening defining a stub 11 and at least some have second lines 13 of weakening defining a margin 14. As shown, sheet 9 has no such margin. Staples 4 extend through all the record sheets, and the margins thereof, to secure the sets to a book cover 3. After a manifolding operation using the topmost "snap out" set, in which a cover flap 17 prevents transfer of written matter on to underlying sets, stub 11 of the topmost set is pulled away taking with it record sheets 6, 7, 8 and the transfer sheets 10, and leaving record sheet 9 in the book.
