Abstract
915,241. Fuel regulators. GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATION. Sept. 25, 1961 [Oct. 6, 1960], No. 34215/61. Classes 7(3) and 7(6) A fuel pressure regulating valve 32 is urged towards its seat 30 by a spring 34 on one side of the seat and away therefrom by an actuator 42 on the other side of the seat controlled by a speed responsive device 58. The fuel enters at 26 and leaves at 38 and the actuator 42 is subject on one side to the fuel pressure downstream of valve 32 and on the other side the force of a spring 92 adjusted by the sleeve 56 of a ball-type centrifugal governor 58. A flange 46 on the actuator 42 limits its movement in the valve opening.
