Abstract

913,567. Mixing-appliances. LINER CONCRETE MACHINERY CO. Ltd. Sept. 18, 1961 [Sept. 27, 1960], No. 33098/60. Class 86. In a mixing-machine of the type having a rotatable mixing pan and a mixing device rotating about an axis eccentric of the pan axis, the pan and/or the stirrers are driven by an hydraulic motor or motors. As shown in Fig. 1, pan 10 rests on rollers 24 and is rotated by hydraulic motor 12 acting through bevel gears 13, 14; a prime mover 15 rotates the mixing blade assembly 17, 18 through a belt drive 19 and bevel gearing 20, 21, and also drives an hydraulic pump for supplying pressure fluid to the hydraulic motor 12. In a second embodiment (see Fig. 2, not shown), the engine drives the pan and an hydraulic motor the mixing blade assembly. In a third embodiment (see Fig. 3, not shown) both are driven by hydraulic motors. There may be control valve means for varying the speed and/or direction of rotation of the hydraulic motors which may in each case drive directly or through gearing.
