912,627. Friction clutches. VAUXHALL MOTORS Ltd. Sept. 8, 1961 [Sept. 22, 1960], No. 32532/60. Class 80 (2). In a clutch of the type in which a friction disc D is engaged with the engine flywheel B, the driving-shaft A is provided with an axial extension C on which is mounted an output sleeve F splined to a coaxial sleeve E connected to the disc D. As shown, sleeve F is mounted within sleeve E, but this arrangement may be reversed, Fig. 3 (not shown). The sleeve F is connected to a Hooke's joint G at the forward end H of the propeller shaft.
