572,621. Shaft couplings. C.A.V., Ltd., and NICOLLS, W. E. W. Jan. 13, 1944, No. 697. [Class 80 (ii)] A shaft coupling of the Oldham type comprises an intermediate floating disc m with radial slots engaged by diametrically opposite dogs on one coupling member i and on an annular member q in driving connection with the other coupling member c. This driving connection comprises a shell enclosing the other parts of the coupling and in two separable parts g<1>, g<2> with inter-engaging teeth t, one part being secured by bolts f in arcuate adjusting slots to the member c and the other being similarly secured to member q. A rubber sheath u is arranged over the periphery of the parts g<1>, g<2> and a rubber sealing ring w is provided between the annular member q and a ring x secured to member i by a retaining ring y to prevent leakage of lubricant and to exclude dirt.
