A roof comprises a plurality of slabs or panels 1 laid edge to edge on beams 2, a rendering 3 of cement and sand &c. or of asphalt over said slabs or panels and entering between adjacent edges of said slabs, reinforcing mesh material 4 embodied in the rendering and a covering of weatherproofing felt 5 applied over said rendering. According to the Provisional Specification, the construction is capable of application to the erection also of floors and walls.
