789,164. Floors, roofs. RIDGEON, H. D. R. Jan. 27, 1956 [Nov. 1, 1954], No. 31505/54. Class 20(4) A concrete floor, ceiling, or roof construction comprises parallel reinforced concrete beams 1 of the kind described in Specification 786,204 and which support hollow concrete slabs 2 preferably of the kind described in Specification 750,146. Additional reinforcement such as bars 5 may be incorporated in the channels formed between the slabs 2 parallel to the beams 1 and, if desired, transverse channels, having reinforcements laid therein, not shown, can be formed at right angles to the beams 1 between the sides of adjacent slabs 2. Serving pipes &c., are laid in the spaces between the slabs after which the spaces are filled with concrete 7. A surfacing layer 8 and flooring material 9 are then applied over the concrete.
