911,327. Stapling. SACHS, M., ASPLIN, L., HOWGATE, I., and NASH, H., [trading as METALLWARENFABRIK H. SACHS]. Oct. 18, 1960 [Oct. 28, 1959], No. 35764/60. Class 89 (3). A stapling-machine is of the type in which a pressure lever and a staple bar guide are connected by a pivot pin to a base-plate. A feed slide 15, Fig. 2, slides along a rod 10 which carries a spring 17 for moving the slide. The front end of the rod 10 is carried in a lug 9 struck up from the bottom of the guide and the rear end bears against the pivot pin and is supported in a bore of a right-angled abutment 13. The latter fits under the pivot pin 2 and has a rib 12, Fig. 4, which engages a groove in the pin and prevents sideways movement thereof.
