A fluid meter arrangement comprises a measuring chamber 1, inside which a measuring member 2 rotates or oscillates in accordance with the flow of fluid, and external sensing means including two devices 6, 7 or 11, 12 of which one is energized from an A.C. source, the magnetic or electrical coupling between the devices being varied in accordance with the position of the measuring member. After amplification by a known device 8 or 13, the derived pulses may operate an electromagnetic counter 9 or 15 or like indicator.
