Abstract
The magnetic sensor for fluid flow detection, produces a signal, when the flow rate reaches a predetermined value. The sensor comprises a tube (3) fitted into the line opposite a magnetic field, produced by a freely suspended magnet (4) in a holder (5). This magnet operates a switch (6) mounted in an adjustable position outside the tube. It is connected to an electric supply through which the signal is controlled. The magnet and its holder are mounted inside the liquid being measured. There are no moving parts between the static parts and the sensor. The magnetic switch is operated as soon as the system reaches a the fluidodynamic balance for indication of maximum flow rate. The tube (3) is conical and the sensor has a step to limit the movement of the magnet.
