903,644. Swim suits; brassieres. GORDON, B. D. Oct. 22, 1959 [Feb. 2, 1959], No. 5378/62. Divided out of 903,643. Class 141. [Also in Group VIII] In a women's garment with a knitted front panel, each breast cup has a lower portion with upwardly-diverging wales and an upper portion with upwardly-merging wales. As shown, Fig. 1, a swim suit comprises front and back panels 10, 12 stitched together at the sides and crotch, the front panel being made in two halves 20, 22 which are then sewn together. The halves 20, 22 are knitted simultaneously on a standard full-fashioning machine (see Group VIII). A brassier front panel may be knitted similarly in two parts 30<1>, 32<1>, Fig. 2.
