Abstract
900,069. Mineral-mining apparatus. STAMICARBON N.V. April 24, 1961 [April 25, 1960], No. 14816/61. Class 68 (1). Mounted on for movement along a conveyer 6 is a cutter machine 11 having a cutter head 13 for removing mineral from a face down to the level of the base of the conveyer, the head 13 being so spaced from the face side of the conveyer as to allow through the passage thus formed between the head and said side one or more further cutter machines 8 that are guided along said side of the conveyer. Preferably, the cutter head 13 is of the cutter disc or drum type, and each machine 8 is a plough. The apparatus is primarily for working a faulted seam with the machine 11 removing mineral at the zone of the fault and the or each machine 8 removing mineral from the seam to either side of the fault zone.
