Class 68 (1) In a mining machine having at each end a cutting head 12 that is vertically adjustable so as to be able to follow the floor of the seam as the machine is advanced into space mined out by the borers 14 of the head there is provided behind and beneath the borers an endless conveyer 18 that is transverse to the axis of the borers and discharges mined material out to the side of the machine.
