897,117. Indicating-apparatus. GENERAL RADIO CO. Sept. 29, 1960 [Nov. 3, 1959], No. 33546/60. Class 106 (4). A case for the carrying and multiple-positiondisplaying of indicating-apparatus comprises a base 1, a cover 2 containing the apparatus 12, a flange 5 each side of the base 1 carrying a lever 15 on a pivot 13 the levers having extensions 19 terminating in further pivots 21 on the sides 11 of the cover 2 and the levers being joined by a bar 17 having a hand grip 4. When closed, Fig. 1, the cover 2 rests on the base 1 within a lip 9 which is preferably resilient. Upon depressing the hand grip 4 the cover 2 pivots upward about the pivot points 13 and tilts about the pivot points 21 to assume an upright position, Fig. 2, or further to any inclined position desired. If turned through 180 degrees the apparatus can be viewed from above or may then be turned as a whole to an upright position. Feet 3 may be provided on the base and also on an end face of the cover 2. A pin 25 slidable in a slot 27 in the lever extensions 19 is adapted to co-operate with a locking detent 29 in the flange 5 to enable the cover to be locked in closed or inverted position.
