763,255. Kettles. MEDWAY & CO., Ltd., A. E., and CHIGNALL, J. H. March 10, 1955 [Dec. 10, 1953], No. 34472/53. Class 66. A kettle of the kind which is filled through the spout 11 comprises a cover 17 for the spout, carried by a lever 18 pivoted at 19 to the handle 12 of the kettle, a thumb lever 25, 29 pivoted at 28 to the handle, a compression spring 32 located within the handle and abutting between the handle and the thumb lever and a link 22 between the levers 18, 25 on the side of the pivot 19 of the lever 18 remote from the cover. Part 33 of the member 25, 29 projects from a slot 27 in the handle in which it is set and depression of this part 33 against the spring 32 lifts the cover 17 from the spout 11.
