Lids and covers.-A lid-opening means consists broadly of a lever member mounted to pass through a slot in an external protuberance on the cover or body of a polish or like tin and adapted to fulcrum either upon its own protuberance or on an external protuberance formed on the other part of the tin, a part of the lever always pressing, however, against the protuberance which does not serve as the fulcrum. Figs. 1 to 7 show various constructional forms of lever member adapted to co-operate with annular protuberances 2, 5, disposed respectively on the body and cover portions of a tin.
