381,451. Powder boxes. MœLHENS, P. P., (trading as EAU DE COLOGNE & PARFœMERIE-FABRIK GLOCKENGASSE NO. 4711), Cologne, Germany. Feb. 24, 1932, No. 5544. Convention date, Sept. 9, 1931. [Class 18.] A powder box refill for holding loose cosmetic powder comprises a dish member d and a powderpermeable flexible cover b, the cover being yieldingly held in position so that, as the powder is removed therethrough, it becomes more and more permanently depressed owing to the dislodgment of the yieldingly held portion and is always in contact with the surface of the powder in the dish member. The edge of the cover b which is a perforated member or formed of metal or fabric gauze is held between turnedin flanges on the upper edges of the dish d and a ring d<2> surrounding the dish; the powder being removed by pressing on the middle of the cover which is thereby permanently depressed due to its edge slipping between the flanges by which it is held. The ring d<2> is provided with a further flange d<3> which grips the bottom edge of the dish. The refill is held in an outer case e provided with a lid f. The dish may be of any desired shape.
