Lids. - A sheet metal lever 1 of right-angled form, pivotally mounted by trunnions 3 in bearing holes 6 in a housing 4 secured to the body part 5 of a tin serves, when depressed, to raise the lid 2, Fig. 5 shows a modified construction in which the lever acts upon a strip 8 of tape or other material passing from the inside of the tin between the lid flange and the rim.
