328,079. Rowbotham, H. G. March 6, 1929. Compound jars.-A jar &.c. having an exterior recess, which may be e.g. in the lid or base, is provided with a closure 10 for such recess, to form therewith an auxiliary receptacle separately accessible, in the form of a lid of the lever or press-in type of smaller size than the recess and applied over it in an inverted manner, being frictionally retained therein by its rim or flange 11. The closure is preferably formed with a slot or rib 12 to aid its removal by a coin &c. Specification 5932/09 is referred to.
