Bei Weithalsfässern besteht die Möglichkeit, die Begleitpapiere beizupacken, wobei die Papiere zweckmäßig mit oder ohne Einsteckhülle auf der Deckelinnenseite angebracht werden. Außerdem erfordert die Verwendung von Schrumpffolien für den Hersteller des Füllgutes die Bereitstellung entsprechender Maschinen zum Aufschrumpfen der Folie und verteuert die Rekonditionierung der Fässer durch die notwendige Entfernung von beschädigter Folie vom Faßmantel.
