Claims (7)

  1. Plastics cap for blow-moulded, plastics containers, with an outer rim (4) surrounding the container neck (3) and an inner rim (5) extending into the container neck (3), and a sealing ring (13) fitted in between the cap outer rim (4) and the cap inner rim (5) and protruding beyond the cap base (6) below the container opening, which sealing ring (13) is pressed against the opening margin (14) of the container neck (3) by a clamping ring (10) for tightening wire, wherein the clamping ring (10) or tightening wire engages over a flange (11) or flange sections formed below on the cap outer rim (4) and engages under a flange (12) projecting radially outwardly from the container wall at a distance below the container opening the flange (12) being continuous or divided into flange sections, characterized in that there is formed an annular web (8) projecting axially from the bottom of the annular space (7) formed by the cap outer and inner rims (4, 5) for conducting the axial forces created with the cap (1) closed by stacking, dropping, etc. directly into the container neck (3) and that a further sealing ring (13) is provided, the sealing rings (13) being arranged on both sides of the annular web (8) and bearing with pre-tension on the opening margin (14) or the container neck (3) with the cap (1) closed.
  2. Cap according to claim 1, characterized in that in the case of a clamping ring closure, the flanges (11, 12) are spaced from one another with the cap (1) closed.
  3. Cap according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the sealing rings (13) are connected together by a thin connecting web (17) in the region of the annular web (8) between this and the opening margin (14) of the container neck (3).
  4. Cap according to any of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the annular web (8) has a widened support face (18).
  5. Cap according to any of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the support face (18) is determined by the web thickness.
  6. Cap according to any of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the sealing rings (13) are injection moulded from plastics material, e.g. polyurethane.
  7. Cap according to any of claims 1, 2, 4 and 5, characterized by pre-formed inset sealing rings (13).
