Portable gas storage equipment having a harness for securing the equipment to the body of a user, comprises a first gas storage container 10 of cylindrical form and a second gas storage container 11 in the form of a loop of tubing which encompasses the container 10 in a longitudinal plane of the latter. The containers 10, 11 are releasably clamped together by a bracket 16, 17 and the body harness comprises a frame 20 releasably clamped to the container 10 by bands 21 and having a part 23 for supporting the container 11, the latter being located by the engagement of an eyelet plate 24 thereon with a stud 25 on the frame.
