Abstract

1383144 Weighing apparatus B A EK H G EK and K-G EK 19 Jan 1973 [8 March 1972] 2997/73 Heading G1W A platform scale comprises a base 1 having a rim 2 which provides a knife edge at each corner of the base, a pair of first levers 3 resting on two of the knife edges at one end and coupled to a plate 11 of a load indicating mechanism at the other, a pair of second levers 4 each resting on a knife edge at one end and pivotally coupled to a first lever 3 at the other end, a platform 6 and four load transmitting members 13 arranged between the platform and the levers. Each member 13 rests on its lever in a recess 5 of the lever and has a slot 14 in which the lever fits. At its upper end, each member 13 has a tongue 15 pivotally engaging a cone shaped boss 16 pressed in the platform. Pivotal movement of the member 13 is limited by wings 17 on the member 13 and projections 20 on the lever. Each lever is located at its knife edge by a slot 9 in the lever and a slot 19 in the base. The indicating mechanism includes a rotatable scale 7 and a zeroizing device.
