Abstract

1420196 Spring units BPB INDUSTRIES Ltd 19 Dec 1972 [20 Dec 1971] 59046/71 Heading F2S [Also in Divisions E1-E2] A resilient unit for use with a partition panel comprises two members, e.g. 10, 13, spring- loaded apart from each other, and adapted to be compressed by a lever device 21 which can engage in holes 16, 17 in the members and be rotated. The unit may be used under, over, or at the side of a partition panel. The lever device 21 has an offset handle 22, an upper pin 23 to pass through holes 16 in the upper member 13 and a slot 24 which accommodates a pin 25 slidably mounted in slot 24, and intended to pass through holes 17 in the side walls of the lower member 10. A preferred form of lever (not shown) incorporates a pair of rods 21 interconnected by a link pivotally attached to the rods, with a single handle allowing both ends of the upper channel member 13 to be depressed together.
