Abstract

A door handle with a spring return system, and a locking action when turned one way, as in the main patent, has an addition which modifies the spring mechanism which brings the handle back to its original position. The mechanism now comprises a pressure rod (15) with two arms (40) on each of which rests a spring (42) whose other end rests on the casing (2). These two arms and springs surround an opening (43) in the case. The modification means that an opening (43) can be made in the upper and lower parts of the case which allows the use of cover plates whose fixing points are separated by a distance less than the height of the case and can be varied. A variety of different plates can therefore be used.
