1388830 Sheep tipping device JOHN H TAYLOR Ltd 19 July 1972 [21 April 1971] 10337/71 Heading A5R A sheep tipping device comprises a sub frame having two side members 1, 2 which are relatively movable to embrace a sheep, one of the side members being pivotally connected at 3 to a base frame 4, the side members being pivoted together by quadrilateral linkages 8, 9 and 10, 11 at locations which are above the pivot axis 3 when the subframe is in a position to receive a sheep and retained in their relative positions by a ratchet and pawl mechanism 18, 19, and the free ends of the side members being angled towards each other. The subframe is pivoted by means of a handle 14 connected between extensions of links 9 and 11, and an adjustable back stop 15 is slidably mounted on side member 2. A catch may be provided on the main frame for retaining the sub-frame in its inverted position.
