Abstract

887,893. Stackable containers. PIRELLI S.p.A. July 9, 1959 [Nov. 26, 1958], No. 23631/59. Class 66. A stackable container A moulded of metal or plastic material has a handle 3 and a recess 9 so that when identical containers are stacked the handle of the lower container fits within the recess 9 of the upper container. A protuberance 8 on the base of the container corresponds with a recess 6 in its top and a recess 10 in the base accommodates t h e screwcap of a container stacked below. A recess 11 provides a finger grip to aid in pouring, and a further recess 13 accommodates the pierced ear 12 of an adjacent container. A depression 14 enables marks, notices, &c., to be applied to the container. The container may consist of or include at least one natural polymer or at least one synthetic polymer, or a mixture of natural and synthetic polymers.
