A button comprises a cap 6 with turned down edges 7 fitted over the head 1 of a supporting member with a shank and a base 2 with holes 3 for sewing the button on to material. The cap may be made of aluminium, brass. or "Bakelite" (Registered Trade Mark) and the support may be of moulded rubber, polythene or polyvinyl chloride. The top of the button may be domed or flat.
