A connector of the divided spigot type for joining scaffold tubes 4, 5 end to end comprises two body portions 2, 3 surrounded by a collar 6; the shank of a bolt 11 passes through registering holes 7, 8 in the collar and in one portion 2 of the spigot and carries a square nut 12 the dimensions of which prevent it rotating within the body portions. When the bolt is rotated the halves of the spigot are expanded between the nut and the end of the bolt. The collar is located by a tongue 10 engaging in a slot 9.
