Abstract

A scaffold sleeve coupling comprises a U-section body 1 in each of the opposite ends of which a corresponding one of two scaffold tubes of predetermined external diameter is adapted to make sliding endwise engagement, the free longitudinal marginal zones of the body walls 5 being bent to form internal flanges 6 which extend towards the body base 2 and the longitudinal edges of which are adapted to contact the external peripheries of the tubes when the latter are inserted into the body and means 7, 8 for urging the walls inwardly of the body to clamp the tubes within the coupling. As shown the means 7, 8 are nuts and bolts. The body is provided with an internal tongue 4 which serves as a stop for limiting the distance to which the tubes may be inserted into the body.
