Class 20(2) A scaffold clamp comprises a socket having two limbs a<SP>1</SP>, a<SP>2</SP> between which the scaffold pole c is placed and secured by a member b engaged by its hooked end b<SP>1</SP> with a slot in the limb a<SP>1</SP> by an approach towards its outer face so that the hooked end impinges on the pole c, the other end being of cup formation to provide flanges b<SP>2</SP> engaging the pole and having an aperture b<SP>4</SP> for a bolt d the head of which engages the limb a<SP>2</SP>. The head of the bolt is T-shaped and is passed through a slot in the limb a<SP>2</SP> and then turned at right angles.
