Abstract

972,995. Stud and socket fastenings. A. RAYMOND. May 9, 1961 [May 12, 1960], No. 16877/61. Heading E2B. [Also in Division H2] A fastening device comprises a rod 12 having a transversely extending elongate head 13 at one end and spaced from the head, an annular flange 17 which will yield in the longitudinal direction of the rod, the head being provided also with a prong 16 at each end thereof directed towards the flange. As shown, the rod is adapted to be inserted through an aperture 11 in a panel 10 and then turned through 90 degrees by a key 21 so that the head lies across the aperture 11 and the flange resiliently abuts the other face of the panel. The flange, which may be slotted radially at its outer or inner periphery, is movable along the rod between the head and a shoulder 18. Cables 23 or the like are supported on the rod and against the panel by a pronged clip 22 which is slidable along the rod towards the panel. Specification 919,289 is referred to.
