905,635. Screw-sockets. DEMU METAALWARENFABRIEK DE MERWEDE N.V. Jan. 22, 1960, No. 2484/60. Class 89 (1). A socket for embedding in concrete during casting, comprises a tube 1, Fig. 1, flattened at one end 2 and reduced at the other end to receive an internal screwthread 3. The socket is held against shuttering by a bolt engaging the threads. In a modification, a flange is secured to the reduced end and provided with holes for nails or screws by which the socket may be held against the shuttering. In another arrangement, the flattened end is split and the resulting tongues 19, Fig. 3, bent in opposite directions.
