Abstract

1,189,235. Tube couplings. P. B. W. CRIGHTON. 29 Jan., 1969 [29 Jan., 1968], No. 4504/68. Heading F2G. A connector for connecting tubes at various angles consists of a hollow steel body 11 having a plurality of plain radial holes 12 for receiving securing bolts 15 which are inserted through a port 16 closed by a removable plug 18. The bolts have square heads 26 seated in a recess in the body. A tube 21 is secured to a bolt 23 by swaging 22. The bolts 15, 23 have threads of opposite hands and are drawn together by appropriately threaded turn-buckle 25.
