Abstract

895,148. Electric lighting fittings. POWER CENTRE CO. Ltd. July 20, 1959 [July 26, 1958], No. 24140/58. Classes 75(2) and 75(4) A fitting for tubular lamps e.g. straight fluorescent lamps comprises a pair of end members adapted to be secured to a supporting member such as a length of trunking each end member incorporating a supporting bracket to which a reflector is releasably secured, the reflector being formed in two longitudinally abutting halves which can be withdrawn laterally when the securing means is released. The lamp is mounted in sockets 11 sliding in cylindrical housings 12 under the influence of springs. The housings 12 are carried by brackets 13 secured to trunking 10 by hollow bolts 15 through which the electric cables 16 pass to electric control means, e.g. choke and starter, housed in a channel 17 in the trunking. The brackets 13 carry supports 19 of wide angle V-shape having turned up ends 20. Reflectors 22 of the same shape as the supports 19 rest thereon being supported by the ends 20 and secured by capture bolts 21. Recesses 23 are cut in the upper edges of the reflectors 22 to accommodate the bolts 15.
