Abstract

The ends of a tubular bulb (1) fit into flexible sleeves (3, 4). One of these is equipped with a conductor terminal (9) and the other with a conductor plunger (24) thrust by a spring against the conductors of the bulb only when the latter is in place. The sleeves are secured to support plates supplying the current, and fitting in the ends of a transparent tube completely enclosing the bulb and the sleeves. The tube ends are closed by sockets, one of which at least forms a mounting. The support plates can be secured to the tube by pins passing transversely through them and the tube, and to the sockets by screws.
