Fluorescent tube lamp The previously known fluorescent tube lamps, in particular hand lamps and flashlights, suffer from various disadvantages. Above all, the ignition of the fluorescent tube is unreliable at low temperatures, which means that the starter has to perform several switching operations when the power is switched on until the lamp burns. However, each of these scarf lines leads to a reduction in the life of the fluorescent tube. Another disadvantage is that the lamp has to be dismantled in a relatively laborious manner in order to replace the fluorescent tube. In addition, in the case of the known flashlights, a choke and a capacitor in the connector are arranged in their housing, which makes the lamp more expensive.
These deficiencies are now intended to be remedied by the present invention.
The invention relates to a fluorescent tube lamp in which, according to the invention, a shielding that favors the ignition of the fluorescent tube is installed when the starter is switched on, which shields the fluorescent tube and contains an ohmic resistance that is isolated in this and through which a front switched capacitor the mains current is fed to the fluorescent tube.
The arrangement of the resistor means that there is no need to install a choke in the lamp housing, which was customary up to now. Instead, the capacitor previously housed in the plug can be installed in the lamp housing. When the resistor is switched on, the fluorescent tube is preheated and the ignition is thereby further promoted, regardless of the capacitive effect, which is particularly advantageous at low outside temperatures.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, namely: FIG. 1 shows a fluorescent tube lamp designed as a hand lamp in longitudinal section, FIG. 2 shows a cross section of the hand lamp on a larger scale, and FIG. 3 shows a circuit diagram for FIG.
Fig. 1 is the fluorescent tube, each of which is connected to a heating spiral 2 and 3 for heating and ionization of the luminous gas, at the tube ends on subordinate contact pins 4, 5 and 6, 7 in the sockets 8, 9 and 10 11 two the ends of the fluorescent tube 1 pushed-on insulating caps 12, 13 made of synthetic rubber or the like grab a.
At the fluorescent tube 1 is a trough-shaped shield 14, 15 with play, which stood on its inside and outside by a metal foil 14, and in its interior by insulating layers and an ohmic resistance surrounded by these 15 is formed. A plexiglass cylinder 16, in which the fluorescent tube 1 is supported by means of the insulating caps 12, 13, is pushed over the luminous tube 1 and the shielding. Both the plexiglass cylinder 16 and the shielding 14, 15 are longer than the fluorescent tube 1.
In the space of the rear part of the plexiglass cylinder 16 protruding over the fluorescent tube, a capacitor 17 and a star ter 18 are arranged. 19 is the usual made of synthetic rubber, attached to the rear part of the plexiglass cylinder handle to which the plug cable 20 is connected. 19b is an end cap that can be removed from the other end of the cylinder 16.
From one pole 21 of the cable 20 connected to the power line, a line 22 leads to a socket 10 of the insulating cap 12, while the other pole 23 is connected to the contact 24 of the capacitor 17. The other contact 25 of the capacitor 17 is connected to a terminal 27 of the resistor 15 by a lead wire 26. The starter 18 is connected with its contact 28 by a conductor wire to the other contact bush 11 of the insulating cap 12 and with its other contact 29 by a conductor wire to a terminal 30 of the shield 14.
At its end opposite the terminal 27, the resistor 15 has a contact pin 31, with which it engages in a contact socket 32 of the insulating cap 13. The latter is connected to the contact socket e by a conductor wire. The contact socket 9 of the insulating cap 13 is connected to the outer end of the shield 14 by a conductor 33.
After removing the end cap 19b together with the insulating cap 13, the fluorescent tube 1 is easily accessible and can be pulled out of the insulating cap 12 and replaced without further dismantling the lamp.
The fluorescent tube lamp described has the advantage that after switching on the current and closing the circuit through the starter, the conductive part 14 of the shield 14, 15 conducts current and, through capacitive action on the fluorescent tube, promotes the rapid ignition of the lamp, so that even at low levels Safe ignition is guaranteed. After the arc tube is ignited, the current passes through it and the starter then interrupts the circuit through the conductive part 14 of the shield 14, 15.
