[Classes 75(iii) and 75(iv)] In a tubular-lamp fitting of the kind comprising a ceiling support-member 1 and a separate quickly removable trough member 4 housing ancillary electrical equipment, the trough member 4 is suspendable in an " open " position (Fig. 2) giving access to its interior, by means of gapped chain links 6, 6a hinged thereto which hook over brackets 3, 3a provided on the support member 1, one or more hook members 12a, 12b, 12c, 12d being provided to allow the trough member 4 to be subsequently fully supported in an " intermediate closed position (Fig. 3) between the " open " position and a finally mounted position (Fig. 4). As shown in Fig. 2 the hook members 12a, 12b, 12c, 12d are arranged to hook over rods 13a, 13b, 13c, 13d welded to the brackets 3, 3a, the trough member being subsequently secured in its fully closed final mounted position by screws 15, Fig. 4. In alternative arrangements for the " intermediate " support position, the hook members 12 may pass through slots in, and engage with, a flange on end-wall brackets forming part of the support member 1, or the trough member 4 maybe provided with slotted laterally extending straps which pass over and rest on the rods 13.
