893,210. Titanium alloys; heat treating. IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Nov. 9, 1959 [Nov. 14, 1958 (5)], Nos. 36675/58, 36676/58, 36677/58, 36678/58 and 36679/58. Classes 72 and 82(1). An alloy has the following percentage composition:- Al 1À75 - 2À75 Sn 10 - 12 Ti the remainder The alloy may also contain Zr 1-10; Mo 0À5-5; Si 0À05-5; Cu 0À1-2À5; B 0À005-0À5 and may be heat treated by solution heating to 975-1100‹C., air cooling and ageing at 500-700‹C. According to the Provisional Specification, the Sn and Al contents are within the area ABCD.
