Abstract
1,128,610. Heat treatment of ferrous alloys. CHRYSLER CORP. Dec. 31, 1965 [Jan. 11 1965], No. 55466/65. Addition to 1, 073, 971. Heading C7A. An alloy consisting of:- the balance apart from impurities and incidental ingredients, being iron is aged at 1000 -1400 F. either after casting, after hot working or after solution treatment at 2150-2300 F. The ageing may be carried out in a series of steps with aircooling therebetween. Examples of alloys treated by the method of the invention contain up to 0.025% B, up to 2% Ti, up to 0À1% Zr, up to 0À05% S and up to 0À5% P.
