Abstract
1513407 Heat treating Cu-base alloys OLIN CORP 30 Sept 1975 [4 Oct 1974 (2)] 39979/75 Heading C7A [Also in Division B3] An alloy containing in wt per cent is processed by hot-rolling with a starting temperature above 650‹C and within 50‹C of the solidus, and finishing above 400‹C. It is then cold-rolled below 200‹C and annealed at 250-850‹C for 10 seconds to 24 hours. Before hot-rolling the alloy may be heated at a temperature between 600‹C and its solidus for at least 15 minutes, while after hot-rolling it may be quenched to retain hardening phases in solution until the final annealing step.
