Abstract
892,454. Electron multipliers. BUSH & RANK CINTEL Ltd. May 23, 1960 [May 21, 1959], No. 17296/59. Class 39(1) The dynode of an electron multiplier comprises a unipotential structure consisting of a first member 9, 10, 11 formed of a more malleable metal and having demountably secured thereto a second member formed of a less malleable metal and provided with a secondary emissive surface. The second member may be fixed to the first by bent over tabs 13, Fig. 2 or it may be flexed to fit into a channel member 15, Fig. 3. The first member may be of nickel or non-magnetic stainless steel and the secondary emissive member of a magnesium-silver alloy.
