Abstract

830,193. Holders for thermionic valves. UNITED - CARR FASTENER CORPORATION. Sept. 6, 1957 [Sept. 25, 1956], No. 28271/57. Class 38 (1). An electrical connecting-strap is secured to an insulating support by passing through aligned holes in the strap and support a flanged post which is then swaged over, engaging a tab on the strap. Fig. 5 shows the strap 19 having at one end a hole 26 through which the post passes and having adjacent the hole 26 a tab 29. Fig. 3 shows a valve holder having a laminated insulating body 10 and a centre spigot 27 which is flanged at 28 to bear against the strap 19 and swaged over on the other side of the support 10 to retain it in position. The strap 19 is further located by the rivet 24 and the remote end 21 of the strap provides a contact to earth a valve screening can. In a further embodiment, Fig. 7 (not shown), the strap is used as a soldering tag.
