887,520. Beet-cleaning apparatus. MOUNTAIN, C. T. Dec. 24, 1959 [Sept. 27, 1958], No. 30924/58. Class 78 (1). In a beet-cleaning apparatus, the beet is thrown into hopper 10 and is fed therefrom by endless conveyer chains 31 to be cleaned by a rotary cleaner. The hopper includes sloping baffle 22 which prevents choking of the converyer chains.
