Class 132(2) [Also in Groups XVIII and XIX] A counter or indicator comprises numeral wheels which are individually manually adjustable. As described, the counter is threaded on or attached to a flexible member (not shown) attached to the ignition key of a motor car and may be adjusted to indicate the initial mileometer reading at the commencement of a journey. The counter, Fig. 2, comprises three numeral bearing drums 7, 8, 9, the drum 7 being rotatably mounted within a sleeve 14 having an aperture 4 and the drums 8, 9 being rotatably mounted within a sleeve 15 having apertures 5, 6, the assembly being held together by an inner spring sleeve 13 bearing a tongue 16 engaging with a slot in sleeve 14. In an alternative construction, Fig. 5, numeral bearing drums 7, 8, 16 are mounted on a sleeve 18 provided with two diametrically opposed flats 20 on which are located aperture-bearing sleeves 21, 22 for viewing the numerals on the drums 8, 7 respectively, the numerals on the drum 16 being visible through an aperture 6 in a part of the sleeve 18. The assembly is held together by screwing a bush 23 into the sleeve 18, a spring 25 interposed between an inset collar 24 of the drum 7 and the bush 23 permitting rotation. In a modification (Fig. 7, not shown), an additional sleeve is provided for the drum 16. The bush 23 may be attached to a flexible member with a key-ring at its other end. The viewing sleeve members may be of transparent material, with a marking device thereon. One of the numeral bearing drums may be marked with "X" and "-" instead of numerals, and the device used for scoring in golf. The device may be used for scoring in darts or for counting the number of hours for which a record player stylus is used.
