884,111. Bobbin-holders: creels. MASCHINENFABRIK BENNINGER A. G. May 19, 1960 [May 21, 1959], No. 17741/60. Class 120(2) In a bobbin-holder adapted to receive pirns of any type or wall thickness, the peg in which the pirn is hung is spring-pressed against an abutment, or the abutment is spring-pressed against the peg, to provide a nip whereby the rear end of the pirn is releasably clamped between the peg and the abutment. In Fig. 3, peg 7 is secured to a member 6 encircled by a spring 8 acting between a pin 9 on member 6 and a support 5, so that a cylindrical or conical pirn is gripped between the peg and support. In Fig. 4, the peg is carried by a spring-member 20 bolted to a U-shaped support, and the pirn is gripped between the lower edge of the support and the peg. In Fig. 5, the peg is constituted as a spring-member 26 in a support 27. The pegs may be arranged on a creel as at 4 in Fig. 1, yarn-guides 3 being provided.
