Class 120(3) A bi-conical bobbin comprises two part-conical members 2a, 2b mounted on a cylindrical or conical inner tube 1, the cross-section of the smaller ends of the members corresponding to that of the tube and their larger ends being located centrally on the tube by means such as the turnedover ends 5. The members 2a, 2b may be contiguous as shown or may be separated with or without an intermediate sleeve. In all cases, the ends of the members may be suitably shaped and they may be secured together or to the inner tube by adhesive. The bobbin may be of paper, cardboard, or plastic and may be discarded after unwinding.
