[Also in Group XVII] A cylindrical cop of twine 2 has an outer wrapping 4 formed by a flexible sheet of material e.g. paper or cardboard, which may be damped or soaked, wrapped around the cop so that the ends just overlap, as at 6; the wrapper 4 has continuous circumferentially-extending grooves 5 lying against the outermost layer 2<SP>1</SP> of the cop providing a support therefor.
