Abstract

883,882. Swivelling couplings. ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA A.B. March 22, 1960 [March 26, 1959], No. 10040/60. Class (38 1). [Also in Group XXXVII] The movable arm 4 of a rotary disconnecting switch is secured in the removable cover 5 of a rotary housing 2 mounted on a rotatable insulator 3, the housing carrying contact fingers which connect the arm 4 to a line connection pin 1. Each finger comprises two tongues 6 urged apart by a spring 8 to engage the side surfaces 9 of a groove 7 in the pin 1, the arrangement being such that the contact surfaces between members 6, 9 lie on the axis of rotation between the pin 1 and the housing 2 and are limited by making the opposing parts of the tongues 6 or the surfaces 9, or both, slightly convex.
