Abstract

799,317. Two-part couplings. ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA AKTIEBOLAGET. Nov. 19, 1956 [Nov. 25, 1955], No. 35241/56. Class 38 (1). A connector comprises two similar parts having carriers 1, 2 and contactcarrying bodies 3 which are provided with co-operating projecting and recessed portions carrying socket- and-plug contacts respectively, to ensure the engagement of the correct connector parts and pins 11 co-operating with apertures 12 in the casings to fix the casings in correct angular relation to each other, each body 3 being movable in its casing to a number of fixed positions determined by the engagement of extensions 8 on the casing in grooves 10 in the body 3. The bodies 3 are mounted in their casings 1, 2 by means of elastic rings 6 and nuts 7, a sealing ring 9 being provided. In the embodiment of Fig. 4, the body 3b has two pairs of opposed projecting and recessed portions.
